Beginning of the discovery
After he graduated, he went the the University of Tübingen. He originally wanted to be a priest but his father disapproved of this due to his hearing condition, so he entered medical school. His professor was the scientist Felix Hoppe-Seyler. Friedrich was given the task to investigate the leukocytes inside the human body. Which, the name, was changed later to white blood cells. Friedrich did lots of research to learn more about the white blood cells.
